The heliotrac® is a agriculture electric vehicle which uses the sun as the only source of energy. It enables many improvements for both cultivation and harvest of crop plants. The media often also calls it ‘solar tractor’, which was the initial name of the project.
Just for europe: There are 200.000 tractors sold per year. 85 percent of the tractors are towing vehicles, the other 15 percent are for cultivating and harvesting – the potential market for the heliotrac®.

The heliotrac uses solar energy as the only source of energy for the whole year. If there is no use of fieldwork, the heliotrac can be plugged to the mains and therefore helps to refinance itself.
The most important challenges for an ideal agriculture vehicle are:
- Reduced soil compaction because of a wide surface and a special profile
- Low cost of ownership
– Ideal working conditions for agricultural workers
– Lowest enviromental pollution
– No hazard to the soil by oil and diesel
– A wide range of application with fewer idle times
Due to flexibility and adjustability for all three dimensions the heliotrac can cover about 75 percent of all applications with only three basic modules.
Outstanding economy
A conventional tractor is standing in the barn and wasting investment costs most of the time while the seeds are growing on the field. With the heliotrac® all that challenges can be accepted.
One Platform – Multiple purpose
Not only for agriculture, the heliotrac platform is also available for extreme enviromental conditions. Inspections of pipelines in the desert or surveillance of objects: heliotrac has always enough power with its mounted solar panel.
